Moscow-Khabarovsk Service
AirBridge Cargo, reportedly the largest airfreight operator in Russia, continues to develop its network in the Russian Federation with the launch of regular, once-a-week, airfreight service between Moscow and Khabarovsk.
AirBridge Cargo, founded in 2003 by Volga-Dnepr Group, is the first Russian airline to operate regular airfreight service in Europe, Russia and Asia. The airline plans to launch flights to North and South America.

Coupa Software of Foster City, Calif., is targeting small and medium-sized businesses with technology combining electronic procurement, request-for-quote and invoicing capabilities.

RoadLink Acquires, Acquires and Acquires Some More
Intermodal logistics service provider RoadLink USA says it has expanded its North American service platform by acquiring Chicago-based Unity Distribution Group and Ohio-based Reserve Transportation Services, both leaders in the intermodal trucking business. RoadLink, based in Chicago, is a portfolio company of Fenway Partners, a middle-market private equity firm that focuses on the transportation/logistics/distribution and branded consumer industries.
Unity operates primarily in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Reserve provides intermodal trucking services, with core volumes coming mostly from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and the Chicago metro areas. Together, the two companies will add approximately 400 independent contractor drivers to RoadLink’s fleet, bringing its total truck count to more than 2,000.

Kuehne & Nagel Expands Its
Network in Japan, Once Again
Kuehne & Nagel has opened another office in Yokohama, extending its network across the country to nine locations in five cities. The new facility offers comprehensive sea freight import and export services, including in-house customs clearance.
Kuehne & Nagel says it is the only foreign logistics provider to have in-house customs clearance capabilities in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe and Nagoya (air only), underlining the company’s objective of providing customers in Japan with comprehensive services from a single source.
