‘K’ Line Begins Another Service to East Coast of South America
‘K’ Line plans to begin a weekly container service in June that connects Asia with East Coast South America. The service, to be offered in cooperation with Compañía SudAmericana de Vapores S.A. (CSAV), will call Ningbo, Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Paranagua, Itajai, Santos, and Durban.
‘K’ Line operates a U.S. East Coast-East Coast South America service and recently launched a service between North Europe and the East Coast of South America.

TradeBeam Gains Wide Access to GTM Market in China
Global trade management software provider TradeBeam has signed a 10-year strategic partnership to bring its GTM platform to the Chinese market. The deal calls for the China International Electronic Commerce Co. (CIECC), which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, to market and sell TradeBeam’s on-demand software solution to more than a million businesses.
“We selected TradeBeam after a very careful review and strict selection process,” says Junsheng Liu, CIECC general director, CEO and board chairman. “As leading software and service providers in our respective countries, this strategic collaboration will propel both China and TradeBeam ahead of those around the world. Savannah Added to Indamex Service
Bit by bit, the Indamex service of container carriers APL, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd is moving down the East Coast of the United States. Savannah, Ga., is the latest port of call for the India-America Express Service.
Indamex, which originates in Colombo, Sri Lanka, also calls New York, Norfolk and Charleston. Damietta, Egypt, has also been added to the rotation.

Menlo to Run Parts Hub for Embraer in Singapore Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, has selected Menlo Worldwide to operate a regional logistics hub that provides parts to the company’s Asia-Pacific customers.
Menlo has established a dedicated, 24/7 operation at its existing Singapore Regional Logistics Hub to maintain a complete inventory of repairable, expendable and structural parts for Embraer’s ERJ 145 and the Embraer 170/190 line of commercial jet aircraft.
Services include:
• Import customs clearance, local transportation of inbound shipments to Menlo’s Singapore logistics center, parts receiving, quality inspection and put-away
• Ambient and temperature controlled bulk, rack, shelf and security-controlled warehouse space for Embraer
• Management of more than 20,000 SKUs of aircraft service parts, components and supplies, including repair and returns management
• Order fulfillment to include picking, packing and three levels of dispatch service ranging from scheduled ship dates to two-hour delivery
• Management of transportation for all outbound service parts shipments, incorporating emergency expedite, regular airfreight, surface and ocean
• Selection and management of Embraer-approved freight forwarders
